We condemn the Supreme Court’s activist decision in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt striking down commonsense Texas laws providing for basic health and safety standards in abortion clinics. We applaud the U.S. House of Representatives for leading the effort to add enforcement to the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act by passing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which imposes appropriate civil and criminal penalties on healthcare providers who fail to provide treatment and care to an infant who survives an abortion, including early induction delivery whether the death of the infant is intended. We strongly oppose infanticide.

If you have ever been overwhelmed by what needs to be considered when voting, here is a beginner's guide for you! Thanks to Catholic Answers for bringing the 5 Non-Negotiables into the mainstream of Catholic apologetics, this is a breakdown of each issue and where the Church stands, including examples and a summary of each subject. These five topics are imperative for every conscious Catholic voter to consider this election season.

We will have daily prayer and conference calls. It's our hope that churches would also be open, as many days as possible, to pray for the nation. Pastors are encouraged to organize collective prayer with other ministries in public spaces or church buildings. Rock Church in San Diego, CA just organized over 132 churches to pray together in public areas. This would be great to replicate. 

As Catholics, we have an obligation not just to vote, but to vote for candidates who do not openly support evil policies. Further, we have an obligation to challenge existing “Catholic” politicians to refrain from advocating laws that condone intrinsically evil practices.

Some people will claim that they are not for abortion…they are merely for “choice”. Let’s bring more clarity to the term “Pro-choice”. It is used because it implies an association with freedom and liberty. But it is a smoke-screen. It means “pro-abortion”. Now, someone could say, “No it doesn’t. It simply means that I do not think it is right to take away a woman’s right to choose what to do with her pregnancy”. Two things about that. First, the “what to do” only has to do with killing her baby. The “choice” is between allowing the baby to live and actively taking steps to end the child’s life. Second, “what to do with her pregnancy” is another misleading phrase. It implies that she is the only person involved. It entirely neglects the fact that this also involves the life of an innocent child.

Clinton revealed that she wouldn’t support a federal limit on abortion “at any state of pregnancy” in the name of a “woman’s right to choose.” 

I have been asked "the question" so many times regarding Trump or Hillary. By way of background, I have followed every national convention—Republican and Democrat—from the time I was age 9, and have attended most of the GOP Conventions from 1984 to the present. I have watched the news virtually every day from the age of 8. I have never seen anything like what we are observing.

In spite of the unprecedented nature of this election cycle, I will attempt to respond to "the question." I am not demanding that anyone else share my view. But I was asked. Here is my best attempt to answer as I am able to see things at this time:

Hillary Clinton has said that she would only nominate Supreme Court justices who would uphold the decision that legalized abortion on demand. “I would not appoint someone who didn’t think Roe v. Wade is settled law.”

“The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights,” later adding she believed this to be true even on the unborn child’s due date.

Action plan: Over the next few years, we’re going recruit and train candidates to make gains in the Florida state Senate and win the Florida governorship.

The Bishops of the United States, in accord with our Holy Father, Pope Francis, have been unequivocal in proclaiming the dignity of unborn human life.
