PRAYERS AFTER THE ROSARY:

THE HAIL HOLY QUEEN (The Salve Regina)

LEADER: Hail! Holy Queen,

ALL: Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry,
poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of
tears. Turn then, O most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement! O loving! O sweet Virgin Mary!

LEADER: Pray for us O Holy Mother of God.

ALL: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LEADER: Let us Pray,

ALL: O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection has purchased for us
the rewards of eternal life, grant we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries in the most
Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they
promise through the same Christ, our Lord, Amen

ST. MICHAEL PRAYER

LEADER: Saint Michael the Archangel,

ALL: Defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

He Leadeth Me by Fr. Walter Ciszek, S.J.

He Leadeth Me is the deeply moving personal story of one man's spiritual odyssey and the unflagging faith which enabled him to survive the horrendous ordeal that wrenched his body and spirit to near collapse.

Captured by the Russian army during World War II and convicted of being a Vatican spy, American Jesuit Father Walter J. Ciszek spent some 23 agonizing years in Soviet prisons and the labor camps of Siberia. He here recalls how it was only through an utter reliance on God's will that he managed to endure. He tells of the courage he found in prayer-a courage that eased the loneliness, the pain, the frustrations, the anguish, the fears, the despair. For, as Ciszek relates, the solace of spiritual contemplation gave him an inner serenity upon which he was able to draw amidst the "arrogance of evil" that surrounded him. Learning to accept even the inhuman work of toiling in the infamous Siberian salt mines as a labor pleasing to God, he was able to turn adverse forces into a source of positive value and a means of drawing closer to the compassionate and never-forsaking Divine Spirit.

He Leadeth Me is a book to inspire all Christians to greater faith and trust in God-even in their darkest hour.

Screwtape Letters

The Screwtape Letters is a satirical and thought-provoking Christian novel written as a series of fictional letters from a senior demon, Screwtape, to his inexperienced nephew, Wormwood. Screwtape advises Wormwood on how to tempt and corrupt a human soul, referred to as "the patient," and keep him away from God — whom the demons call “the Enemy.”

Through their correspondence, C.S. Lewis explores themes of temptation, spiritual warfare, pride, distraction, and the nature of faith, offering deep insight into the human condition and the subtle ways evil can work. The book uses irony and wit to reveal truths about moral struggle and the importance of spiritual vigilance, ultimately highlighting God's grace and love as victorious.

Religion of the Day

We are living in a highly religious age. Secular gospels and dogmatic faiths promising salvation are all around us. So what is the belief system, the religious vision, that is displacing Christianity as the assumed narrative by which our post-Christian, modern societies live? And what is the religion that we ourselves need to be converted out of, if we are to be fully converted to the Christian faith?

Humility Rules

Saint Benedict's fifth-century guide to humility offers the antidote to the epidemic of stress and depression overwhelming modern young adults. But the language of The Rule by Saint Benedict is medieval, and its most passionate advocates are cloistered monks and nuns. How then does this ancient wisdom translate into advice for ordinary people?

From Christendom to Apostolic Mission

Every human society possesses a moral and spiritual imaginative vision, a set of assumptions and ways of looking at things according to which life proceeds. This essay is an attempt to contribute effective strategies to engage our own time and culture once more with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and – for a weary world – to awaken the Catholic imaginative vision.

Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist

A revelatory exploration of the Jewish roots of the Last Supper that seeks to understand exactly what happened at Jesus’ final Passover.

“Clear, profound and practical—you do not want to miss this book.”—Dr. Scott Hahn, author of The Lamb’s Supper and The Fourth Cup

Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist shines fresh light on the Last Supper by looking at it through Jewish eyes. Using his in-depth knowledge of the Bible and ancient Judaism, Dr. Brant Pitre answers questions such as: What was the Passover like at the time of Jesus? What were the Jewish hopes for the Messiah? What was Jesus’ purpose in instituting the Eucharist during the feast of Passover? And, most important of all, what did Jesus mean when he said, “This is my body… This is my blood”?
