“Redefining” Marriage? | Marriage, Define Marriage, gender |
In the current debate over gay marriage, people sometimes ask:Who should define marriage? Democrats or Republicans in Congress? The Supreme Court? Should it be put to a referendum, allowing the majority to choose a definition? We can identify two kinds of “definitions” when it comes to marriage. The first touches on the essence, the objective reality, or the truth about marriage. The second involves a legal or political position, advanced through the media, judicial decisions, or other legislative means. While these secondary definitions of marriage can be of interest, their true level of importance is properly gauged only in reference to the first and objective definition. |

Between the (Gender) Lines: the Science of Transgender IdentityBetween the (Gender) Lines: the Science of Transgender Identity | genetics, gender |
Sex determination – the way we are “coded” into a biological sex – is complicated in and of itself. There are far more options than just “male” or “female,” and countless instances of species that can actually transition from one sex to another within a single lifetime. With most mammals, however, the majority of individuals are cisgender male or female; transgender individuals are estimated to comprise about 0.3% of the adult U.S. population. |

Restoring Florida's Right to PrivacyRestoring Florida's Right to Privacy | 2017 CRC |
The Privacy Amendment was adopted in 1980 by Floridians in order to protect themselves from the government’s increasing ability to gather personal information through increasingly modern investigative technologies. However, in 1989 it was twisted by the Florida Supreme Court to create a fundamental right to abortion for a minor girl. Since that time, Florida’s Privacy Amendment has been seen as a right to abortion and not as a right to informational privacy. |

Ask any Florida legislator if their phone has been ringing off the hook from constituents who can't get enough vodka or rum, and they would have to say "no." Then why are they pushing hard liquor into our grocery stores without public input or backing? |

YOUR LIFE DOES NOT BELONG TO YOUYOUR LIFE DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU | Barron |
The less we are willing even to wrestle with God, the more de-humanized we become. It was revealed this week that, for the first time in its history, Harvard University, which had been founded for religious purposes and named for a minister of the Gospel, has admitted a freshman class in which atheists and agnostics outnumber professed Christians and Jews. Also this week, the House and the Senate of California passed a provision that allows for physician assisted suicide in the Golden State. |

I have been asked "the question" so many times regarding Trump or Hillary. By way of background, I have followed every national convention—Republican and Democrat—from the time I was age 9, and have attended most of the GOP Conventions from 1984 to the present. I have watched the news virtually every day from the age of 8. I have never seen anything like what we are observing. In spite of the unprecedented nature of this election cycle, I will attempt to respond to "the question." I am not demanding that anyone else share my view. But I was asked. Here is my best attempt to answer as I am able to see things at this time: |

“That counselor can literally be the one person who says: ‘You don’t have to do this,’” Hawkins said. “The challenge is getting to that point of having the conversation.” |

98% Of CRS Employee Political Donations Go To Pro-Abortion Candidates98% Of CRS Employee Political Donations Go To Pro-Abortion Candidates | Abortion, Political Donations, CRS |
In fact, of the 191 contributions for which we could find public records, 187 went to politicians who actively work to serve the abortion and contraceptive industry. That’s 98% of all public records for employees of CRS. In total, we have been able to obtain public contribution records for 52 CRS employees. 50 of those employees donated to openly pro-abortion politicians. Statistically, this indicates an overwhelming one-sidedness, with almost no diversity of opinion among those working for CRS. |
