It has come to the President's attention that Executive Branch agencies have spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date "training" government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda. For example, according to press reports, employees across the Executive Branch have been required to attend trainings where they are told that "virtually all White people contribute to racism" or where they are required to say that they "benefit from racism." According to press reports, in some cases these training have further claimed that there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.

Aside from the COVID-19 pandemic’s severe proximal physical health consequences, long-term health consequences due to changes in health behaviors is an important public health concern. This study found that among a convenience sample of U.S. adults, particularly females and those with moderate to severe depression symptom severity were more likely to report increased engagement in adverse health behaviors (tobacco use and alcohol consumption) and worsened sleep during COVID-19, which may be due to increased available time, stress, and worry.

How Pro-Life is President Trump?

As Catholics, we have an obligation not just to vote, but to vote for candidates who do not openly support evil policies. Further, we have an obligation to challenge existing “Catholic” politicians to refrain from advocating laws that condone intrinsically evil practices.

We condemn the Supreme Court’s activist decision in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt striking down commonsense Texas laws providing for basic health and safety standards in abortion clinics. We applaud the U.S. House of Representatives for leading the effort to add enforcement to the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act by passing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which imposes appropriate civil and criminal penalties on healthcare providers who fail to provide treatment and care to an infant who survives an abortion, including early induction delivery whether the death of the infant is intended. We strongly oppose infanticide.
