Goal to educate voters: The majority of Americans do not support late-term abortions... inform voters
the truth behind this amendment.
2024 Petition Summary: No law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when
necessary to protect the patient's health, as determined by the patient's healthcare provider. This
amendment does not change the Legislature's constitutional authority to require notification to a parent
or guardian before a minor has an abortion.

1. The absence of a specific time frame or explicit monthly reference means that abortion can be performed up until the moment of birth.
