2020 FLORIDA AMENDMENTS
2020 FLORIDA AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
1. YES- only citizens can vote (this is already a law in Florida) but since most people don't know about it.. just vote yes
2. NO- increase min. wage - Especially after the past year if passed more companies would go out of business. Will actually decrease pay for thousands of restaurant employees, increase restaurant closures, eliminating jobs through closures and automation.
3. NO- Open Primary- This would create a monster... Parties could choose to vote in political opponents' campaigns and sabotage the elections.
4. YES- Two votes for amend. approval
5. NO- Extend home exemption (This should not be in our constitution)
6. YES- Property Tax exemption “Provides that the homestead property tax discount for certain veterans with permanent combat-related disabilities carries over to such veteran’s surviving spouse who holds legal or beneficial title to, and who permanently resides on, the homestead property, until he or she remarries or sells or otherwise disposes of the property." ( I PREVIOUSLY HAD A NO AS I DID NOT REALIZE THIS WAS FOR DISABLED VETS)
